Winter Vehicle Storage Tips

Give Everything a Good Wash

First, start with the inside. Clear any trash, and take out electronics, chargers, and accessories that you might need while the vehicle is in winter storage. Then vacuum up dirt and crumbs so you do not give pests any reason to make themselves a home where they do not belong. Next, protect your paint job by scrubbing off salt and mud from past uses, and wax it for extra protection.

Gas Up Your Vehicle

You do not want moisture in your gas tank, so the best way to prevent it is to fill your tank before leaving it idle in storage. You should take further precautions if you intend on storing your vehicle for more than three months. Add stabilizer to your filled gas tank to prevent gum and varnish.
